Tips for Festive Wellbeing

  • Talk - It can be hard to admit that you don't feel great but talking about your feelings can improve your mood. If you are feeling overwhelmed you can speak to a friend, a family member or the Samaritans who are available 24/7

    Call 116 123 or Email jo@samaritans.org

  • Stay Active - Physical activity can help keep your mood positive. You can try walking, cycling, running or joining in with the Christmas fun and games.

  • Get enough sleep - Try to keep a regular sleep pattern over the festive period.

  • Eat Well - Moderation is key, as too much sugar and alcohol can have an effect on your mental health and well-being.

  • Volunteer - Giving back to others can help you to feel good about yourself.

  • Get Outside - Being in touch with nature can reduce depression, anxiety and reduce blood pressure.
